League Cup
What is the League Cup?
Selected active leagues will get the opportunity to organize a League Challenge once during each League-season. This change will give more players an opportunity to test their mettle in a rating tournament.
The League Cup tournaments are intended as higher qualifying tournaments and the outcome of a match of each player is of importance to winners how many Championship points they will earn. The results of you best limit finish of 8 League Cups count for your Championship points. These points are important to players to earn an invite for the World Championships at United Kingdom in August 2020. Players of the Junior Division require 250 Championship points, Senior Division 250 Championship points and Master Division 350 Championship points.
Tournament structure
Participants play with their own decks in the Standard format or expanded format (indicated in our tournament calendar).
That means that the use of cards is limited to certain series. Prior to the tournament, during the player meeting, one has to hand over a decklist and during the tournaments there will be deck checks.

The tournament is run using Age Modified Swiss pairings, with a separate Topcut. The number of rounds that will be played depends on the number of attendants per division, performing gameplay (30 minutes + 3 turns) or match play (2-out-of-3 in rounds of 50 minutes + 3 turns). Top-cut (max. 8 players per division) will be playing match play (2-out-of-3) in rounds of 50 to 75 minutes + 3 turns (depending on discretion of organizer).
Participants are divided into 3 divisions, dependent on the year of birth. These divisions are:
Junior division: born in 2009 or later;
Senior division: born in 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008
